While you are in Oregon...
... you may as well enjoy the hospitality at the pump. That's right: you can't pump your own gas here (diesel is another matter, dang it) so service stations actually offer service. Great concept, wonder if it will catch on.
If you are looking for an excellent school to teach you how to drive a big rig, you should consider Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri. I did my training there and the instruction is first rate. If you are looking for a trucking company, you might look into the deal that Con-Way Truckload has with Crowder for training.
