The drive from West Memphis, Arkansas to Waco, Texas was uneventful. I planned my day so I arrived in the Dallas metro area just after 1 PM, skirted the southeastern side then ran down I-35 south to Waco. I didn't have enough time left to finish my run down to Laredo today, so I will get up tomorrow morning very early to avoid traffic in Austin and San Antonio.
I'm stopped tonight at a Pilot truck stop, probably the largest one I've ever been at. I found a parking spot along the side with only a handful of parking spots next to me. Hopefully no one will be idling loudly, and perhaps the lot lizards won't bother late at night.
